WHAT IS?
This type of rhinoplasty softens the facial features and gives the patient a more balanced image of their face.
Dr Piletti has extensive experience using rib cartilage graft and hundreds of patients have received 100% satisfactory results.
HOW IS IT PERFORMED?
The nasal dorsum must have an adequate height to visually separate the cheekbones, when the dorsum is low, we correct it using a cartilage graft from the patient himself. Dr. Piletti masterfully handles the nasal augmentation technique with costal cartilage that, unlike silicone nasal implants, are not rejected or present complications.
Each of these points is of paramount importance. In particular, the first two require the use of an implant or a graft. It is our preference to use the patient's own cartilage since it is a more artistic surgery with more natural results.
Pain
This operation is not painful, only a small percentage of patients experience slight pain.
Sutures
there are usually only about four small internal spots that will either be removed on the 6th day or they will fall off on their own.
Bandage
The use of adhesives is very important, their purpose is to reduce swelling and maintain results. You must wear a bandage for at least one month after surgery.
Bruising
They occur to a greater or lesser degree in all patients. We reduce swelling through a diet and naturopathic medications prior to surgery and with the use of anti-inflammatories afterwards.
Wounds
It can be a closed rhinoplasty through small internal wounds or open is when those internal wounds are joined through a small wound in the spine that separates the two nostrils and always disappears.
